Hardee's goes green

In an effort to assume corporate responsibility for the environment, Paradigm Investment Group constructed the Atmore Hardee’s location with being “green” in mind.
Paradigm Investment Group is a Hardee’s franchisee with 89 restaurants in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi.
Ed Har, media relations representative for Paradigm, said the decision to build more environmentally friendly restaurants was self propelled.
Har said the company is in a remodeling stage, working to make all of its restaurants “greener” and more efficient, but the Atmore location as well as a newly opened Montgomery location were among the first built with being green in mind.
Har said the greener measures taken are more costly, but the environmental benefit outweighs it.
Hazard pointed out how these measures can benefit the local community in a way not only better for the environment, but also the economy.
