ATMORE - Boyce Wayne Whatley, 74, of Atmore died Saturday, June 27, 2009 in Atmore. He was a Print Presser employed by Poser Business Forms, born in Monroe County on May 15, 1935 to the late Otis Franklin and Carrie Bell Miller Whatley.
His parents; four brothers; Earl Whatley; Larry Whatley; Frank Whatley and T.C. Whatley and two sisters, Frieda Cummings and Ella Whatley.
Survivors include, his wife, Joyce Whatley of Atmore; two sons, Randal W. Whatley and wife Paula of McCullough and Rodney B. Whatley and wife Carrie of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Donnie Whatley of Atmore and James Howard Whatley of Mobile; two sisters, Olean Meyers and Faristine Reaves, both of Mobile; three grandchildren, Russell Whatley, Herzog Whatley and Wiley Whatley.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Farris Jones officiating. Interment followed in McCullough Cemetery. Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were, Tim Currie, Sonny Strength, Rusty Whatley, Paul Hinton, Randy Whatley and Rodney Whatley.
