Escambia County High School’s Blue Devils football program has been working during the off season to improve their strength to become more competitive in Class 5A.
In 2008, the Blue Devils were able to stay competitive in their class and even won two games against Class 6A teams.
Blue Devils head coach Davis said this year could be a better for the Blue Devils now that they have a year under their belts.
So far this summer, the Blue Devils have worked on core lifts as well as conditioning to help them in game time situations.
Davis said these areas are important to improve because of the amount of players Escambia County’s opponents have on their rosters.
