Freeman C. Corbett

ATMORE - Mr. Freeman C. Corbett, 90, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2009 in Atmore.
Freeman was a native of Bradford, Pa., a former resident of Pennsylvania and a resident of Atmore for the past two months. He was a veteran of WWII, an ordained minister, an artist and attended the Church of the Living God.
His son, Richard Lee Corbett, preceded him in death.
Survivors include, his daughter, Beverly and A.J. Mathews of Atmore; two grandsons, Dana Mathews of Nashville, Tenn. and Scott and Denise Mathews of Winston Salem, N.C.; a granddaughter, Sandra Mathews of Nashville, Tenn.; four great grandchildren, Brandy Michelle Mathews of Jackson, Tenn., A.J. Mathews of Nashville, Tenn., Daniel Leeks of Winston Salem, N.C. and Christopher Scott Mathews of Winston Salem, N.C.; his special grandkids of the home, “Lil Man” and “Baby Girl” and a friend, Edith Honda of Atmore.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Harrison officiating.
Petty Funeral Homes, LLC was in charge of services.
