CENTURY, Fla. - Mrs. Gertrude Stephens Lloyd, 89, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 in Century, Fla.
Gertrude was a native of Swainsboro, Ga., a resident of Century, Fla. for the past 25 years and attended the Baptist Church.
Her parents, Robert and Lizzie Stephens; her husbands, John Mosley and Jerry David Loque; a son, John Mosley and two daughters, Ianthia Ploof and Jerry Kate Wimberly. preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Long of Flomaton and Joyce Letourneau of Vonroe, Tenn.; adopted son, David Ploof of Orlando, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Dustin Stockstill officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Stephen Long, Tony Ploof, Matt Wimberly, David Ploof, Joffrey Tullis and Daniel Moore. Honorary pallbearer was Timothy Mosley.
