Approximately 2,500 people were in attendance for a performance by country music superstar Reba McEntire at the opening of Wind Creek Casino and Hotel’s amphitheater Friday night.
McEntire, who played for approximately 70 minutes, is on tour promoting her new album, “Keep On Loving You.”
Tim Ramer, director of guest services for PCI Gaming, said the casino could not have been happier with the staging of the first concert at the amphitheater.
Ramer said not only were they happy with their execution of the event, but they also received positive reviews from the entertainer’s camp.
Concertgoers too have also relayed positive reviews particularly regarding the intimacy the venue afford, according to Ramer.
Ramer did say one change to the venue in the works is accessibility.
Next to perform at the amphitheater is Hank Williams Jr. on Aug. 29, Bret Michaels on Oct. 9 and Keith Sweat on Oct. 16.
