A woman driving a Jeep Liberty North on Interstate 65 collided with a roadside maintenance vehicle hitting the trailer attached to it from behind. The Jeep Liberty careened off the right side of the road into the embankment. The accident occurred slightly before the 60-mile mark.
Two workers riding on the trailer were seriously injured and taken by LifeFlight to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
The woman and a female passenger were taken by Atmore Ambulance to Atmore Community Hospital.
