ATMORE - Minnie Lee Quimby, 94, of Atmore died July 28, 2009 in Atmore.
She was a homemaker, born in Monroe County on Dec. 13, 1914 to the late William Thomas and Addie Lovvenia Huggins English.
Her husband, Lawrence W. Quimby and two sisters, Zelma Hendrix and Zittie Mae Coleman preceded her in death.
Survivors include, one son, Bobby Quimby and wife Julie of Atmore; one sister, Willie Belle “Bill” Coleman of Carrollton, Ga.; two grandsons, Robby Quimby and wife, Beth of Niceville, Fla. and Toby Quimby and wife Maggie of Atmore. Four great grandchildren, Blake, Brad, and Bryant Quimby and Lauren Sanchez and husband, Nestor of Ocala, Fla. and one great-great granddaughter, Soraya Grace Sanchez.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Dr. Woodrow Hudson and the Rev. Jim Reece officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family received friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
