Mr. Charles F. “Charlie Frank” Williams, 89, passed away Thursday Aug. 6, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Williams was native of Perdido and resident of Cross Roads for the past 69 years. He was a member of the Cross Roads Church of God. He was a veteran of WWII, member of the Purple Heart Club, one of General Patton’s soldiers; he also retired from L&N Rail Road after 50 years. He is preceded in death by a son Charles Frank Williams JR.
Survivors include, his wife of 69 years, Marie Williams, of Cross Roads; daughter-in-law, Mary Williams Roberts, of Cross Roads; three grandchildren, Kim Williams, Scott Williams and Rusty Williams, all of Crossroads; three, great grandchildren, Drew Williams, Hunter Williams and Mason Williams, all of Cross Roads.
Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, 2009 at the Cross Roads Church of God with Rev. Donnie Sanders officiating.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009 at the Cross Roads Church of God.
Burial will follow at the Cross Roads Church of God Cemetery.
