CENTURY, Fla. - Mrs. Joyce Ann Fralick Benefield, 67, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 at a Pensacola hospital.
Joyce was a native of Mexia, former resident of Pensacola, Fla. and a resident of Century, Fla. for the past five years. She retired from Smokey’s BBQ in Pensacola, Fla. She was a No. 1 Braves fan. She also attended Bethel Temple Church.
Her husband, Robert “Bobby” Benefield; two brothers, Earl Fralick and Merle Fralick and two sisters, Shirley McDaniels and Irma Turner, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, four daughters, Donna Peebles (Ricky) of Bratt, Fla., Tammy Harper of Pensacola, Fla., Anita Sanchez (Miguel) of Duluth, Ga. and Marcie Ulrich (Mark) of Foley; three brothers, Arvel Lee Fralick of Uriah, Thomas Fralick of Walnut Hill, Fla. and Randall Fralick of Pensacola, Fla.; four sisters, Barbara Gibson of Grove Hill, Nina Welborn of Pensacola, Fla., Judy Branch of Pensacola, Fla. and Lavine Kast of Pensacola, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Peebles, Elder Charles Ellis and Elder Kevin Fralick officiating.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Aug. 17, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jason Peebles, Jarrod Peebles, Nick Harper, Wayne Fralick, Michael Martin, Chad Rosenbaum, Bobby Welborn, Tim Kast and Dustin Harper.
Petty Funeral Homes, LLC. was in charge of arrangements.
