To accommodate their staff and make their work easier, the owners of Atmore Ambulance have moved from their previous location to North Main Street, the former site of Kelley’s Ambulance.
Karen Jay, owner of Atmore Ambulance, said the move was made to put the entire staff and equipment together.
Atmore Ambulance, which has been in business since 1975, currently runs three ambulances, but has four in their use.
The staff includes 29 fully certified employees and three additional staff members for administration.
Jay said the company works all emergency calls around the area. She added that the staff with the Ambulance service is able to work in Alabama as well as Florida.
The staff at Atmore Ambulance also works with top-notch equipment that they have been able to purchase recently.
Jay said the staff will not only be working with a new trauma system, but a system that detects heart attacks.
As for serving the area surrounding Atmore, Jay said she wants the community to know Atmore Ambulance is there to serve them with care.
