MCDAVID, Fla. - Mrs. Marty Blackmon Green, 44, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 in McDavid. Fla.
Marty was a native of Jacksonville, Fla. a former resident of Bratt, Fla. and a resident of McDavid, Fla. for the past 10 years.
Joe “Pops” Roley Jr.; a daughter, Tawaika Bell; mother-in-law, Louise Green and Daddy, W.D. Blackmon Jr. preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Greg Green of McDavid, Fla.; her son, Blake Green of McDavid, Fla.; her daughter, Blaze Green of McDavid, Fla.; a special daughter, Alexis Roach of McDavid, Fla.; her mother, Linda Roley of Bratt, Fla.; her dad, Jim and Donna Bass of Memphis, Tenn.; her grandmother, Mildred Bass of Memphis, Tenn.; four brothers, Slick Roley, Joe Roley and Gary Roley, all of Bratt, Fla. and James Bass of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Michelle McCurdy of Bratt, Fla., Michelle Yoon and Mandy Bass, both of Memphis, Tenn.; a special sister, Val Mickel of Bratt, Fla.; her lifelong best friend, Lisa Kelly of McDavid, Fla.; a special niece, Melissa Chavers of Walnut Hill, Fla. and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bennie Stokes officiating. Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today, Sept. 5, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will Kenneth Roley, John Roley, Craig Lowery, Bo McGhee, Randall Barnett and Gary Green.
