ATMORE - Sarah Elizabeth “Liz” Weaver, 85, of Atmore died Wednesday Sept. 2, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in Atmore on April 29, 1924 to the late Dewitt and Alvenia Green Drew. Ms. Liz dearly loved people and her home was always open to family, friends and strangers.
Her parents, and four brothers, Julian, Gene, Charles and Carl Drew, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, her husband, Clarence W. Weaver of Atmore; two sons, Earl Weaver and wife, Anita of Atmore and Bob Livingston and wife, Delores of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Faye Murph and husband Colvin of Bay Minette and Gloria Presley of Cantonment, Fla.; four sisters, Gladys Solomon of Bay Minette, Ann Sanders of Cartersville, Ga., Ruby James and Georgia Brooks of Atmore; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 from Judson Baptist Church with Bro. Henry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be, Scott Brooks, Chuck Brooks, Steve Drew, Kelly Drew, Richard Drew and Matt Livingston.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Sept. 5, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
