LAKE CHARLES, LA. – Mary Ellen Dunn, 77, passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 in Lake Charles, La.
Dunn was a homemaker, born in Baldwin County (Ala.) on Sept. 20, 1931 to the late Thomas Wilmer and Ruby Mae Porter Tolin.
Her husband, Odis C. Dunn, four sisters and six brothers preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two sons, Ray Dunn and wife Ruthie and David Dunn and wife Judy, all of Atmore; one step-son, Roy Dunn and wife Iris of Uriah; two daughters, Lois Mahony and husband George of Westlake, La. and Sue Dunn of Atmore; Five step-daughters, JoAnn Lane and husband Bruce of Brandon Miss., Betty Gregg and husband Doyle of Atmore, Joyce Morgan and husband Bobby of Nixson, Tenn., Mary Byrd of Milton, Fla. and Ann Aimsworth and husband Jimmy of Jena, La; one brother, Leon Tolin of McCullough; a special friend, Stella Hadley Dixon of Atmore and five grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Steve Ward and the Rev. Fred Gibbs officiating. Internment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
