The Blue Devils (1-3, 1-2) are having to regain their focus and confidence after being shell shocked in Spanish Fort in a 45-8 loss.
Blue Devils head coach Kyle Davis said he and his staff have been working to get the players focused on this week’s game instead of remembering last week’s.
Getting a win over Baldwin County would show an improvement by the Blue Devils from last year to this year.
Davis said recording a second win would show a much better start heading into the second half of the season.
To get a win, the Blue Devils need to come ready to play like the team that competed with Vigor and defeated Faith Academy.
Davis said the team needs to look at itself and see where they need to get better.
Injuries are a concern for the Blue Devils entering the game.
Blue Devils junior quarterback is questionable for the match up against Baldwin County due to a concussion sustained at Spanish Fort.
Backup quarterback Derrick Williams is taking the snaps this week in practice as if he will start Friday night.
Davis said Williams gives the Blue Devils a chance to win if he has to start the game.
The Blue Devils and Tigers kick off Friday at 7 p.m. at Herbert Barnes Stadium.
