Tony Hawkins

ATMORE – Tony Hawkins, a beloved father, grandfather and friend went home to be with our Lord Monday, Sept. 21, 2009.
Tony was born in Atmore on June 30, 1952. He was a longtime resident of Atmore, a member of the Alabama National Guard for six years and owned Hawkins Paint and Body. He had resided in Orange Beach for more than 10 years.
His parents, Thomas L. and Ruth Lynch Hawkins, preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sons, John T. Hawkins IV and wife, Angie of Orange Beach, Matthew Beau Hawkins and wife, Casey of Columbia, Miss.; four daughters, Miranda Hawkins and Melissa Sarah Hawkins both of Foley, Toni Hawkins of Gulf Shores and Deanna Hawkins of Orange Beach; one sister, Debra Hawkins Alexander of Atmore and 12 grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in New Bethlehem Cemetery at Barnett Crossroads.
Active pallbearers were Anthony Rolin, Larry Godwin, Tony Wooten, Cameron White, Steve Culbreth and Troy Hopkins.
Family received friends Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
