The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce’s 17th Leadership Atmore class experienced something no other class had before.
Fourteen business men and women spent their opening retreat at Adventures Unlimited Outdoors on Coldwater Creek in Milton, Fla. Prior to this year, the retreat had always been held at Camp Beckwith on Weeks Bay in Fairhope.
Leigh Anne Russell-Jones, Leadership Steering Committee chairperson, said the new location worked out perfect for the class.
She added that the cabins featured nice porches equipped with rocking chairs allowing the class a place to get to know one another after the day’s activities.
As for the overall experience, Russell-Jones said it went smoothly.
The class will meet again on Oct. 15 for its Leadership Development seminar.
