ATMORE - Mr. William “Bill” Nathan Powell, 57, a native of Enon, Fla. and resident of Atmore died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at his residence.
He was a self employed carpenter.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Powell of Atmore and Shane (Sonya) Powell of White House Fork; three brothers, Dollan Powell of Crossroads, Leon Powell “BoBo” of Fairhope and Bertice Lee Powell Jr. of N.C.; six sisters, Clauice Donald of White House Fork; Opal Vinson of Crossroads, Jeanette Smith of Bay Minette, Mable Leggett of Bay Minette and Tyicse Brown of Phillipsville; six grandchildren, Michael Shane Powell, Seth O’Neal Powell, Nathan Shane Powell, Christopher O’Neal Powell, Anna Lee Smith and Carlton Joseph “CJ” Powell and his close friend, Paulette Overstreet of Atmore.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 in the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Hall officiating. Burial followed at Crossroads Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 at Norris Funeral Home.
Norris Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
