Dirt bikers and quad riders hit the dirt in Atmore over the weekend in Atmore at the Atmore Motocross Park as the track hosted the ninth round of races of its Gulf Coast MX &Quad Championship Series.
Twenty classes of racers participated in the event, which is leading up to the 2009 Gulf Coast Championship Series Awards Banquet on Saturday, Dec. 13.
Atmore Motocross Park promoter Stephen Hicks said the track was packed with riders from all over the region.
The 2009 Gulf Coast Championship Series is a 12-race season that rounds out with the awards banquet and the third annual Dirty Santa MX &Quad Race on Sunday, Dec. 14.
