Escambia County man dies from H1N1

The Alabama Department of Public Health was notified this week of the death of a man in his 40s from Escambia County who tested positive for 2009 H1N1 influenza. This brings the total number of deaths of persons with H1N1 influenza in Alabama to 18.
Previous deaths of persons positive for H1N1 influenza have occurred during 2009 to residents of Bullock, Calhoun, Cherokee, Dale, Houston, Jackson, Jefferson, Macon, Madison, Mobile, Montgomery, Russell and Talladega counties.
When H1N1 influenza vaccine becomes available, locations, dates and times of clinics will be announced at www.adph.org. Please check this site regularly to find a provider near you.
