ATMORE - Brother Weldon Bolden was born Feb. 5, 1964 in Atmore to the union on the later Willie Bolden and Orzaletta Sanders.
He grew up a member of Gaines Chapel A.M.E. Church. Later in Life, he fellowshipped at the New Beginnings Holiness Church for years, where he accepted Christ as his Savior. Weldon has a number of trades, landscaper, chef, body and fender repairman, brick mason and lead man at Standard Furniture.
He leaves to cherish his memories a very devoted family a loving wife, Sharon; step-father, Lonnie Sanders; step-mother, Mary Bolden; one daughter, Aundrea Burks; two stepsons, Billy (Tonya) and Derek Staples; three grandchildren, Christen Burkes, Nykeria Staples and Deandre Hooks; one brother, Glen (Stera) Roberts of New Orleans; four sisters, Twila (Arthur) Pierce of Daphne, Sharon (Elder Stanley) Felder of Atmore, Charlotte (Don) Johnson of Fairhope, Tiffany Sanders of Birmingham; four step-brothers, Arthur, Robert and Jeffery Sanders of Mobile and Dereke Bolden (preceded him in death); five step-sisters, Ingrid Bolden of Atmore, Jeanette White, Patricia Caster and Carol Sanders, all of Mobile and Mary Black of Daphne; five sister-in-laws, Betty Robinson of Albany, N.Y., Shirley Moore, Betfa Rudolph, Darnell Rudolph, all of Atmore and Jessie (Ossie) Peacock of Enterprise; six brother-in-laws, Clint, Carl (Celia), Willie, Archie (Jacqueline), Victor (Gwendolyn), all of Atmore and Greg (Donna) Staples of Lilburn, Ga.; three aunts, Cornelia Brooks, Channie Roberts and Earlean Roberson; one uncle, Roy Roberts of Miami, Fla.
Burial will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 17, 2009 at Faith Tabernacle Church in Atmore.
Christian Memorial Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
