Twenty-four points by senior guard Kingston Craft could not save the Escambia County Blue Devils from dropping their third consecutive game this time to the Baldwin County Tigers as the Devils lost 68-50 Friday night at ECHS.
The Blue Devils (1-3, 0-0) fell behind in the first quarter and could never regain their composure.
Craft’s performance was the highest point total of the season for the Blue Devils, and he found support in the loss from Dalvin Craft and Lawrence Arnold with Dalvin Craft scoring six points and Arnold putting up five.
Following the opening tipoff, which Dalvin Craft won, Blue Devils guard Chris Walker hit a 5-foot jumper to give the Blue Devils a 2-0 lead that would quickly evaporate as Baldwin County took control of the game.
Throughout the game, the Blue Devils would make runs to close the gap between themselves and the Tigers with Kingston Craft hitting several shots en route to his 24 points.
Senior Blue Devils guard Rayvon Madison added five points in the loss, while Cedric Pierce scored three points and Devante Brown dropped in two free throws.
The Blue Devils’ next game is on Dec. 1 at Hillcrest-Evergreen.
