ATMORE - Walter Henry Kunert, 91, of Atmore died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 in Wetumpka.
He was born in Baltimore, Md. on Aug. 2, 1918 to the late Max and Elsie Petie Kunert. He was retired from Boeing Aircraft Co. as an electronics technician.
His wife, Hazel Godwin Kunert, and one brother, preceded him in death.
Survivors are two sons, Raymond C. Kunert and wife, Ann, of Wetumpka and Wayne Richard Kunert and wife, Linda, of Hiram. Ga.; one daughter, Cheryl A. Blanton and husband, Joe E., of Atmore; seven grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 25, 2009 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove, Fla.
