ATMORE - Fred Eugene Murphy, 68, of Atmore died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 in Pensacola, Fla.
He was a machinest, born in Uriah to the late Wilson and Lydia Mae Akins Murphy on Dec. 3, 1940. He attended Poarch Baptist Church.
His wife, Shirley Ann Murphy and a grandson, Joseph Johnson preceded him in death.
Survivors are one son, Douglas Murphy and wife, Ginger; three daughters, Sandra Johnson and husband, Myles, Kathy Murphy and Roxanne Murphy, all of Atmore; two brothers, Lauvon Murphy and wife, Alice of Atmore and Donald Murphy and wife, Annie of Monroeville; two sisters, Eloise Brown of Monroeville and Agnes Akers of Russellville and three grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Cameron Murphy and Cassidy Murphy.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 in Semirah Springs Cemetery in Uriah with Bro. Leo Luker Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Dec. 2, 2009.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of all arrangements.
