ATMORE - Thomas Franklin Heathcock, 75, of Atmore died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009 at his residence.
He was a retired electrician from Sheltex Manufacturing, born on Nov. 15, 1934 in Perdido to the late James Earl and Carlean Hadley Heathcock. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
His son, Jeffrey Thomas Heathcock, preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife of 34 years, Alice Faye Davison Heathcock of Atmore; three sons, John Heathcock and wife, Mary Ann of Nokomis, Fla., Darrell McCrory of Atmore and Michael McCrory and wife, Janet of Bay Minette; two daughters, Teresa Dabbs and husband, Danny of Saucier, Miss. and Jeanne Corey and husband, Cecil of Atmore; one sister, Ruby Hadley and husband, Bradley of Perdido; 10 grandchildren, Ashley McCrory, Cody Nall, Talana Heathcock, Caleb Corey, Haleigh Staff, Noel McCrory, Daniel Dabbs, Ashley Quinn, Drake Strickland and Kenny Rolin; two great grandchildren, Ayden Quinn and Anzleigh Quinn and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Helen Fretwell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Dec. 2, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Robert Hollingsworth, Steve Gibson, Edward Tullis, Jon Lambert, Rick Roux and Scott Overton.
