Cougars pick up victory over Rocky Bayou

The Cougars of Canoe picked up a 58-53 victory over the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights Tuesday night in Niceville, Fla.
Offensively, the Cougars had four players to post double-digits in points.
The Cougars were led in the victory by senior guard Michael Hippa who scored 17 points, while posting three steals, two rebounds and two assists.
Nate Smith supported Hippa’s performance with a double-double scoring 10 points with 10 rebounds, three blocks, two teals and one assist.
Darron McGhee added 11 points to go with seven rebounds, two steals and one assist.
Keaton Maher landed one one rebound short of a double-double scoring 10 points to go with nine rebounds, three steals and one block.
James White posted eight points, four steals, three rebounds and three assists.
The Cougars next game is Monday at Meadowview with games starting at 5 p.m.

Escambia Academy’s junior varsity Cougars squad crushed the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights junior varsity Tuesday night in Niceville, Fla.
The Cougars junior varsity was led by Jordan Sasser and Garrett Kirk who each posted 12 points.
Paul Arnold and Jacob Dean also scored double-digits with Arnold netting 11 points and Dean scoring 10.
Blake Quimby added four points for the Cougars, while Scott Brantley scored two points.
The Cougars next game is Thursday, Dec. 10 at Crenshaw Christian with a 4 p.m. tipoff.
