Cougars roll over Saints

Cougars fans that made their way to Roberstdale Saturday night were able to see the Cougars varsity boys finish a sweep for EA as they won 60-44.
The Cougars (5-2, 0-0) picked up the win easily as they took control of the game early and held their lead.
Cougars Keaton Maher and Darron McGhee led the way with Maher scoring 14 points, while McGhee added 11 points for the visiting Academy boys.
Brandon Goddard and Jarrett Hadley supported McGhee’s efforts as Goddard scored seven points, while Hadley added six. Cougars leading scorer on the season, guard Michael Hippa, recorded six points in the victory.
The Cougars next game is Thursday against Atmore Christian School in Canoe.

The Cougars of Canoe destroyed the Patrician Saints 66-36 Tuesday night at Escambia Academy.
The Cougars (4-2, 0-0) picked up the win in convincing fashion being led by senior point guard Michael Hippa.
Hippa paved the way in the victory by scoring 16 points, while stealing four passes, grabbing two rebounds and dishing out two steals.
Keaton Maher also got in on the scoring for the Cougars in the win posting nine points, four blocks, four rebounds and four assists, while Nate Smith scored seven points with nine rebounds, four blocks and one steal.
James White added eight points, while Brandon Goddard scored six points to go with one steal and one rebound.
