The Utilities Board of the City of Atmore has issued the following precautionary boil water notice for residents living on Sardis Church Road, Moye Drive, Little George Road, Howard Page, Vine and any others in this area who are without water. A water main break has occurred on Sardis Church Road.
As a precaution, the Utilities Board advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
This “precautionary boil water notice” will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
