Cougars fall to Crenshaw 66-39

The Cougars of Canoe fell to 5-3 on the season as they dropped a game to the Crenshaw Academy Cougars 66-39 Friday night in Luverne.
The Cougars (5-3, 0-0) were unable to capitalize in the loss as Crenshaw took away the momentum.
The EA Cougars were led by junior forward Keaton Maher’s 10 points. Maher also recorded five rebounds and two blocks in the loss.
Cougars forward Darron McGhee added nine points, while pulling down four boards.
Cougars senior guard Michael Hipa posted eight points with four steals, two rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
Sophomore guard Jaylen Henry recorded five points to go with two rebounds and an assist.
Senior guard James White scored three points and also stole a pass.
Senior Wade Matthews and sophomore Robert Whatley each scored two points in the loss.
The Cougars next game is Thursday against Atmore Christian School at 4 p.m.
