ATMORE - Mattie Lou Flowers, 95, of Atmore died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 in Atmore.
She was a homemaker, born in Deer Range on Sept. 16, 1914 to the late James William and Minnie Rowland Macks.
Her husband, Mack Busey Flowers; three sons, Herston Flowers, Edward Flowers and Garren Flowers; one sister, Allie Mae Bradford and one brother, Earnest Macks, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Winford Flowers of Century, Fla. and Aubrey Flowers and wife, Angelia, of Wake Forest, N.C.; three daughters, Bobbie McClain of Cherow, S.C., Hazel Mitchell and husband, Jack, of Walnut Hill, Fla. and Euline Coleman and husband, Obie, of Nokomis; one brother, Wilburn Macks of Atmore; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. C.L. Langford officiating. Interment followed in Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at Frisco City. Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2010 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Ryan Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Austin Flowers, Stephen Flowers, Don Moye and Randy McClain.
