URIAH – Ima-Lene Yonita Carter, Age 84, a native of Texas and a resident of Uriah, died on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at her residence.
She was an artist, member of the Hvsosv Tallvhassv ceremonial grounds and was employed with the Jefferson Parish School System for 28 years.
Her husband, Warren P. Lepine and a daughter, Ima Joyce Carter, preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Billy Jeffrey Carter of Bush, La.; one daughter, Angela M. Carter-Frye of Uriah; two sisters, Rosie Maxey of Texarkana, Texas and Lois Anderson of DeKalb, Texas; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many adopted grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope Chapel.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at 2 p.m. At Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, La.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes and Crematory, 19698 Greeno Rd., Fairhope, AL.
