Despite a need to fill the athletic director and head football coach position at Escambia County High School, principal Harvey Means and his administration will not name an interim to either position.
In the midst of investigating an alleged fight at the girls basketball game between the Atmore and Vigor teams, Means has spread out athletic powers.
He said he has given athletic responsibilities to the coaches at the school.
With former athletic director and head football coach Kyle Davis not in charge anymore, Means is currently looking for a replacement.
He said he has not made any decisions on a replacement and will not name a temporary replacement.
In the case of naming an athletic director and football coach, Means said the positions will continue to be filled by one person.
