Chiefs defeat Ponce De Leon

Northview picked up its third win of the season with a 47-40 victory over Ponce De Leon.
The Chiefs (3-7, 2-1) grabbed the lead in the first quarter and held control of the game from that point on.
Chiefs Head Coach Lorenzo Jones said all his players played well.
In the first quarter, the Chiefs outscored the Ponce De Leon Pirates 14-10.
The Chiefs extended their lead in the second period adding 19 points to their total, while only allowing five by the Pirates. At halftime, Northview led 33-15.
After halftime, the Pirates cut into the Chiefs’ lead, but Northview held them off for the win.
The Pirates outscored the Chiefs in the third quarter 13-9 to pull within 14 points.
The Chiefs only scored five points in the fourth quarter, but it was enough to hold off the Pirates who added 12.
The Chiefs were led by Colton Sims’ 16 points. Sims also had four rebounds, and one steal in the win.
Chiefs guard Lance Bushaw added nine points with two rebounds and two steals, while Arrington scored five points with four steals and a rebound.
Other Chiefs with points included Aaron Bellamy with four points; Ladarion White, Stanley Chestnut, Dabney Langhorne and Damichael Fountain with two and Devin Moorer with one point.
