Two black males attempted to rob the Rapid Return Tax service located at 102 N. Main St. just before 7 p.m. this evening, according to Atmore Director of Public Safety Glenn Carlee.
Carlee said the two males entered the store and one tried to get behind the counter. He added there is a clothing description for the suspects, but is not releasing it.
"The two men entered the store," he said. "A weapon was not produced during the incident, but one of them did go behind the counter, but was scared off before he could get anything."
