Lady Chiefs crush Lady Warriors

Northview’s Lady Chiefs brought their “A” game Thursday night as they crushed the Pensacola Christian Academy Lady Warriors 46-27 in Bratt, Fla.
The Lady Chiefs controlled the tempo of the game from the outset, but really gained momentum in the second half.
In the first quarter, the Lady Chiefs jumped ahead outscoring the Lady Warriors 14-7.
The Lady Warriors from PCA cut into the Lady Chief’s lead in the second quarter outscoring them 12-8 to send the game into halftime at 22-19 in favor of Northview.
After halftime, the Lady Chiefs were able to extend their lead and keep the Lady Warriors from scoring.
In the third quarter, the Lady Chiefs extended their slim lead to 15 as they outscored the Lady Warriors 14-2.
The domination continued into the final quarter as Northivew picked apart the Lady Warriors’ defense and outscored the visitors 10-6 to pick up the 46-27 victory.
Angela Rodriguez and Shaniqua Jones led the Lady Chiefs as they each scored a team-high 13 points in the win. Lanecia Gomez added eight points for the Lady Chiefs, while Sarah Killam and Amber McMillan both scored four.
Lady Chief Megan Ryan scored three points and Miranda Burkett scored one.
The Lady Chiefs’ next game is Jan. 28 at home against Escambia County High Shcool. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
