Nichols crowned Miss ECHS

Through the hairspray and glitter, judges narrowed a field of 10 contestants in the Miss ECHS pageant Saturday night to the Top 5 selecting one young woman to represent the school.
Morgan Nichols took the title of Miss ECHS 2010 along with several other awards.
Judges chose Nichols as winner of the scholastic, spirit and physical fitness awards. Fellow contestants chose the winner as Miss Congeniality for the event as well.
First runner-up in the pageant was LaRose Powell. Powell was also the winner in the poise and appearance category.
Second runner-up was Dominque Knight, who performed a vocal selection during the talent portion of the event.
Rounding out the Top 5 were Rainy January and Meghan Moye.
Other contestants in the event were Leslie Smith, Davisha Johnson, Chianti Lawson, Makeria Williams and Ta’Kia Johnson.
Judges for the evening were Denise Reeves, Stephen Pettis and Vicky Biggs.
Andrea Chance, pageant director for Miss ECHS, said the program went off without a hitch.
