Country Club revives tourney

Golfers braved the frigid temperatures Thursday afternoon to participate in the H.C. Williams golf tournament, which has not been held since 2006.
The tournament was started by its namesake, the late H.C. Williams.
Brenda Gerald, manager of the Atmore Country Club said Williams was a great supporter of the country club.
With the tournament making its return to Atmore, several golfers came out to particpate in the action.
Gerald said that the tournament was a success on all levels.
The tournament featured five flights for competitors to compete in. The winners are as follows:
Championship flight
1st- Tommy Bell
2nd- Don Odger
3rd- Matt Deschaine
First flight
1st- Brad Trawick
2nd- Mike Stacey
3rd- Bob Green
Second flight
1st- Terrill Rigsby
2nd- Mark Dortch
3rd- Richard Drew
Third flight
1st- Scott Fuller
2nd- Rodger Nisewonger
3rd- Joe Gulley
Fourth flight
1st- Mark Harrell
2nd- Buck Kelley
3rd- Derrick Wilson
