WALNUT HILL, Fla. - Georgia Gertrude Thompson, 78, of Walnut Hill, Fla. died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at her residence.
She was employed with the School System working in the lunchroom, born in Red Boiling Springs, Texas on Aug. 18, 1931 to the late Isaac and Artie Butcher Pedigo. She attended Crosspoint Baptist Church.
Her parents; six brothers and four sisters, preceded her in death.
Survivors are her husband, Johnnie Odell Thompson of Walnut Hill, Fla.; one son, John Higgenbotham of North Lawrence, Ohio; one sister, Pearl Hampton of Edenburg, Ind. and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 24, 2010 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with the Rev. J.T. Guyton officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Baptist Cemetery. Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
