MONROEVILLE - Charles Pugh “Chuck” Pelham, 82, of Monroeville died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010.
He was a native of Dothan and had resided in Monroeville since 1950. He was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church and has served in the U.S. Navy. He had worked as an industrial engineer for Vanity Fair Mills for 42 years and retired as director of human resources.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Pelham of Monroeville; four daughters, Sharon (Lee) Weinman of Gardendale, Debbie (Sammy) Kinsey of Monroeville, Patti (Chuck) Knight of Spanish Fort and Linda (David) Carroll of Tuscaloosa; two step children, Elizabeth Dawn (Sam) Crook of Repton and Jack Burton Mauldin, Bermuda; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at the St. John’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Sandra Mayer and the Rev. Glen Eubanks officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Pineville Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Monroe County Health Foundation or to the Monroeville YMCA.
