PERDIDO - Isaac Melvin Milstid, 72, of Perdido died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 at his residence.
He was retired as a Staff Sergeant with U.S. Marine Corps, born in Perdido on Feb. 26, 1938 to the late Floyd and Maggie Coleman Milstid. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Shrinners.
His parents a daughter, Darlene Brown; one brother, Floyd Milstid Jr. and one sister, Esther Veloise Hall, preceded him in death.
Survivors are three daughters, Sandra Milstid Wilson of Eagle River, Alaska, Becky of Florida and Brendra of Tennessee; one son, Douglas Milstid of Mississippi; four brothers, Tommy Eugene Milstid of Molino, Fla., James Edward Milstid and Charles Rodolph Milstid, both of Bay Minette and Guy Milstid of Perdido and eight grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Malcolm Harrelson officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery in Perdido with full Military Honors. Family received friends Wednesday at the Cemetery one hour prior to service time.
