EA Cougars 1-2 in tournament

Escambia Academy took part in a baseball tournament during the weekend taking on the Southern Academy, Monroe Academy and Central Christian.
The high point of the tournament for the Cougars was their final game as they were able to defeat Central Christian 15-6.

The Cougars of Canoe crushed Central Christian Saturday in the Monroe Academy baseball tournament in Monroeville.
The Cougars (4-2, 2-0) dominated the game with their offense as they came close to having a 10-run rule put into affect.
Leading the Cougars were Ryan Linam and James dean.
Linam hit 2-for-2 in the game with three RBI, while James Dean went 3-for-5 with three RBI.
Other Cougars involved offensively included Jarrett Hadley (3-for-5, 2 RBI), Austin McGhee (2-for-5, 2 RBI), Clayton Dyess (3-for-3, RBI), Hunter Bates (0-for-3, RBI) and Cameron McGhee (2-for-3, RBI).
Escambia Academy’s Cougars let a victory slip away as the Southern Academy Cougars squeaked past EA 9-7 in Monroeville on Saturday.
The Cougars (3-2, 2-0) played competitively with Southern, but were unable to muster the extra runs needed to pick up the win.
Leading the Cougars offensively were Jarrett Hadley (2-for-2, 2 RBI) and Keaton Maher (2-for-2, RBI).
Other Cougars involved offensively were Jon Dean (2-for-4, RBI), James Dean (2-for-4), Brandon Goens (1-for-4, RBI) and Clayton Dyess (1-for-4).

Escambia Academy opened up the tournament at Monroe Academy with a loss to the Monroe Academy Volunteers Friday in Monroeville.
The Cougars (3-1, 0-0) were unable to get much going offensively as the Volunteers grabbed the momentum. Offensively, the Cougars the Cougars were led by Jarrett Hadley (1-for-2, RBI), Brandon Goens (1-for-3, RBI) and Ryan Linam (1-for-2, RBI).
