The Atmore Fire Department has been awarded a $181,450 federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant, Rep. Jo Bonner, R-Alabama, announced today.
Our first responders are our lifelines in time of emergency and we must do all that we can to equip them with the tools to adequately respond to local disasters. The Atmore Fire Department faces many challenges, from fires to floods, and these essential funds will help make a difference in protecting and saving local lives.”
The federal Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program is administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Fire Administration.
