Northview crushes Jay Royals 9-2

Following their weekend doublheader against the Pensacola Tigers, the Northview Chiefs traveled down the road Tuesday afternoon to Jay, Fla. to take on the Jay Royals in an important district game.
The Chiefs (8-4, 3-0) used the strength of their pitching and defense to defeat the Royals 9-2.
Austin Reid started the game on the mound for the Chiefs and pitched a complete game to pick up the win.
Chiefs Head Coach Sid Wheatley his pitcher and defense had a strong game.
Offensively, the Chiefs were able to get batters on base and took advantage of that opportunity.
Wheatley said timely hitting was one thing that helped his team.
The Chiefs next game is Monday at 6 p.m. at Baker High School.
