The Escambia County Republican party finalized its slate of candidates Friday for county offices, with two additions for county commission and county school board.
Among the candidates for county offices:
The incumbent in that seat, Richard Hawthorne, did not qualify to run again. Hawthorne was indicted in October on charges of ethics violations and sexual misconduct related to his job as a corrections officer for the county.
In state races, Republicans Danny Joyner and Jeff Peacock have qualified for the state Senate District 22 seat held by Democrat Marc Keahey, who has also qualified to run again.
Incumbent Republican Alan Baker has qualified to run again in House District 66.
In state House District 92, Republicans Mike Jones Jr. and Greg White have qualified to run.
The party primaries will be held June 1, with the general election on Nov. 2. Alabama residents have until May 21 to register to vote in the primary election.
