The winning streak that the Escambia County Blue Devils were riding into their weekend series with the Gulf Shores Dolphins was not enough to help them earn important area wins.
The Blue Devils (8-17, 3-6) were shutout in the series losing 7-0, 15-0 and 14-2.
Blue Devils Head Coach Jason Barnett said the first game gave him a surprise.
In the second game, the Blue Devils had trouble with the Dolphins bats from the beginning.
Barnett said the Dolphins jumped out to a huge lead.
The Blue Devils were finally able to get on the board in the final game, but the Dolphins were still able to crusie despite a strong showing by Justin Stabler.
