MOBILE - Mr. William “Bill” G. Day, 82, a native of McCullough and a resident of Mobile passed away March 24, 2010 at a local Hospital
Mr. Day retired from International Paper Company and was a member of Azalea City Church of Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, hunt and had a passion for woodworking.
His parents, Owen and Bertie Day of McCullough and a brother, J.B. Day, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice W. Day; two sons, Terry W. (Vickie) Day of McCullough and William “Buddy” (Joyce) Day of Greensboro; two daughters, Teresa D. (Larry) Johnson of Atmore and Peggy D. (Timothy) Perdue of Sandsprings, Okla.; three stepdaughters, Darlene Allsup, Ginger (Terry) Lawrence of Mobile and Jackie (Jeryl) Snider of Houston, Texas; one brother, Kenneth O. Day of McCullough; two sisters, Celia Baker of Jacksonville, Fla. and Sylvia Godwin of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment was held in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
