MOBILE - Mr. William “Bill” G. Day, 82, a native of McCullough and a resident of Mobile passed away March 24, 2010 at a local Hospital
Mr. Day retired from International Paper Company and was a member of Azalea City Church of Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, hunt and had a passion for woodworking.
His parents, Owen and Bertie Day of McCullough and a brother, J.B. Day, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice W. Day; two sons, Terry W. (Vickie) Day of McCullough and William “Buddy” (Joyce) Day of Greensboro; two daughters, Teresa D. (Larry) Johnson of Atmore and Peggy D. (Timothy) Perdue of Sandsprings, Okla.; three stepdaughters, Darlene Allsup, Ginger (Terry) Lawrence of Mobile and Jackie (Jeryl) Snider of Houston, Texas; one brother, Kenneth O. Day of McCullough; two sisters, Celia Baker of Jacksonville, Fla. and Sylvia Godwin of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
