Cougars crush Patrician Saints 13-7, lose 3-0

The Escambia Academy Cougars split a doubleheader with the Patrician Saints on Friday winning the first game 13-7 and losing the second game 3-0.
Keaton Maher started the first game pitching seven innings giving up seven runs, while striking out eight batters and walking three.
Leading the EA Cougars was Brandon Goins who hit 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Cougar Jon Dean also hit 3-for-4 with one RBI in the win.
Ryan Linam and Keaton Maher led the team in RBI with three each with both batters going 2-for-4.
Chason Roley went 2-for-2 in the contest with two RBI, while Jarrett Hadley hit 1-for-2 with two RBI.
James Dean started the second game for the Cougars giving up three runs. He struck out three Saints batters.
Offensively, the Cougars had trouble at the plate with only four batters collecting six hits.
Leading the Cougars on the day were Roley and Clayton Dyess. Both batters went 2-for-3 in the loss.
The other Cougars with hits were Jarrett Hadley (1-for-4) and Keaton Maher (2-for-3).
