Nailers hammer Blue Flames 10-8

The Cornerstone Homebuilders Nailers hammered out a win against the Atmore Utilities Blue Flames Saturday in Atmore Cal Ripken T-ball action.
The Blue Flames opened the game with a five-run first inning as Jacob Dirden, Duke, Luke Bell, Anthony McCants and JaCorrian Forney all scored runs.
The Nailers responded in the bottom of the first scoring six runs as Kanye Hooks, Ty Robinson, Carmelo Turner, Hasten Dean, Eli Mallory and Will Smith all made it around the basepath to give their team a 6-5 lead.
The Blue Flames could only manage one run in the top of the second as Duke scored his second run of the game to tie the game.
The Nailers extended their lead in the bottom of the second inning as Hooks, Robinson, Turner and Dean all scored their second runs of the ballgame to put the Nailers ahead 10-6.
With one last opportunity, the Blue Flames could only score two runs as Forney and Brian Brown scored to pull within two of the Nailers falling 10-8.

The Tri-Co Electric Shockers and the Alto Products Cardinals played to a 14-14 tie Saturday in Cal Ripken T-ball action at Tom Byrne Park.
The Cardinals opened the game with a huge inning as Rease McGill, Zander Crawford, Chaston Helton, Ethan Prestridge, D.J. Nichols, Mattie Lopez, Macie Edwards and Xavier Brown all scored to put their team on top 8-0.
The Shockers tied the game in the bottom of the inning as Payton Gilchrist, Hunter Smith, Kinkade Hadley, Katelyn Harrison, Forrest Jones, Andrew Guy, Brody Black and James McElhaney all scored.
The Cardinals grabbed the lead again in the second inning with McGill, Crawford and Helton all making it around the base path to put the Cardinals up 11-8.
The Shockers took the lead 14-11 in the bottom of the inning with Gilchrist, Smith, Hadley, Harrison, Jones and Guy scoring runs.
The Cardinals took advantage of the time they had as they scored three runs to tie the game at 14 with Xavier Brown, Davin Brown and JyKeria Wilson all scoring to end the game in a tie.

The Alto Products Cardinals escaped their matchup with the Atmore Utilities Blue Flames with a 17-16 victory last Thursday.
The Blue Flames opened the game with eight runs as Jacob Dirden, Duke, Ayden Bonner, Anthony McCants, Luke Bell, Brian Brown, Landon Helton, Christopher Johnson and Jake Coker all scored runs.
The Cardinals responded with eight runs of their own in the bottom of the first as Rease McGill, Mattie Lopez, Chaston Helton, Ethan Prestridge, Davin Brown, Xavier Brown, JyKeria Wilson and D.J. Nichols.
The Blue Flames scored three more in the second inning with Dirden, Duke and McCants all scoring.
The Cardinals took the lead in the third inning 13-11 as Helton, Prestridge, Davin Brown, Xavier Brown and Nichols all scored.
The Blue Flames scored five in the final inning to take the lead with Dirden, Duke, McCants, Bell and Brown all scoring.
But the Cardinals got the win as McGill, Lopez and Helton all scored on Helton’s homerun to put their team on top 17-16.
