Poarch Arrows destroy Tigers 13-3

The Poach Band of Creek Indians Arrows dominated their game against the Atmore Rotary Club Tigers crushing them 13-3 in Cal Ripken Major League action Monday at Tom Byrne Park.

The Arrows opened the game in the top of the first scoring eight runs with Corey Bailey, Tyler Sells, Dakota Rolin, Tanner G., Xan McGhee, Trae Lee, Trace Jowers and Tyler Jackson crossing the plate.

The Tigers responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning as Maleek Salter and Reggie Tolbert made the trip around the basepath.

The Tigers scored their third and final run of the game in the bottom of the second as Justin Walden cut the Arrows’ lead to five runs.

The Arrows pushed their way back onto the scoreboard in the top of the third with Jowers, Bailey, Sells and Roling scoring runs to give the Arrows a 12-3 lead.

In the top of the fourth, the game was called on a 10-run rule as the Arrows picked up their 13th run with McGhee scoring his second run of the game.

Nytorious Cooler was a leader for the First National Bank & Trust Athletics scoring three runs in his team’s 10-5 win over the Atmore Lions Club Cardinals Monday at Tom Byrne Park.

For the Cardinals, Dee Dee Poole was the leader scoring two runs in a losing effort.
