Mariner Xan McGhee (1-for-1, R) continued the team’s good fortunes with a triple that knocked in Pearson and Wynn to put the Mariners up 4-0. Following McGhee, Tyler Jackson (0-for-0, R) and Christian Cox (0-for-0, R) reached base and all scored on a single by Tyler Williams (1-for-1) to put them up 7-0.

Following the outburst by the Mariners, the Padres could only get two at-bats finished in the top of the second as the rain moved in and cut the game short. It is still being determined when the game is to be completed.
